Comparing call tracking for an insurance agency
Call tracking products differ far more in scope than in the basic job. These pages compare VereTel with five other products using only what each vendor publishes, and they say plainly where the other product is the better fit.
Competitor details were checked on their public websites on September 29, 2026 and may have changed.
VereTel’s plan prices are published now. Numbers are not on sale yet. Create a free account and ask to be told when they are.
A checklist for choosing call tracking
Before you compare vendors, write down what your agency needs on a Monday morning. Then hold each product to the same list.
- What decision will the data change? If the answer is “which campaign gets more budget,” you need calls tied to a source. If the answer is “which agent is closing,” you need recording, scoring or CRM data as well.
- How are numbers assigned? Ask whether a number belongs to a campaign, a page or a single visitor. Per-visitor pools cost more and need more numbers. Read how number insertion works.
- Toll-free or local? Vendors price them differently and some publish separate rates. See toll-free vs local tracking numbers.
- Is recording something you need? If so, ask how the vendor handles caller notice and consent, and check your own state’s rules with counsel.
- Which systems must it connect to? List your CRM, ad accounts and any lead-buying tools. Confirm each connection on the vendor’s own integrations page rather than a summary.
- What is the whole bill? Add the plan, extra numbers, extra minutes and any per-message or transcription charges for your real volume. Use the call tracking ROI calculator to size it.
- What are the terms? Look for setup fees, contract length, trial length and what happens to your numbers if you leave. See porting numbers without losing calls.
- Who runs the set-up? Some products are self-serve tools. Others are managed for you. Decide how much of the work you want.
VereTel is deliberately small: local tracking numbers, carrier forwarding and a call list. It fits some agencies well and others not at all. The pages below say which.

Are these comparisons up to date?
Each comparison states the date we read the vendor’s public pages, September 29, 2026. Prices and features change, so confirm on the vendor’s site before you decide.
Why does VereTel list features it does not have yet?
Only to be clear about them. Recording, transcription and reports are coming and are marked that way. We do not give dates for them and we do not count them as available today.
