veretel.com does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and it does not show a cookie banner because it does not need one for its own counting. This notice explains what the site does store.
Visit counts without cookies
We count page views without cookies or identifiers. For each view we record the page, the referring website’s name and the date, and nothing that identifies you or your device.
Session storage for campaign details
When you arrive, the site keeps a note in your browser’s session storage of the page you landed on, the website that referred you and any campaign tags in the link. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to us unless you submit a form, and your browser deletes it when you close the tab.
Local storage for your animation choice
If you pause the moving picture at the top of the home page, your browser remembers that choice in its local storage on this device (under the name vt_motion), so that the picture stays still on your next visit. It is not a cookie and nothing is sent to us. Press play again to remove it.
Cookies that may be set
- Security cookies from Cloudflare. Cloudflare delivers and protects this site and may set strictly necessary cookies to tell people from automated traffic. Our forms include a short check that you are a person (Cloudflare Turnstile); it runs in a frame served by Cloudflare and is not used for advertising.
- Sign-in cookies. Your VereTel account, on a separate address (app.veretel.com), uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. Its sign-up and sign-in pages also include the short check that you are a person. The account’s pages also set a cookie that protects their forms, which your browser keeps for up to 12 hours. While you create your account or reset your password, the sign-up and password-reset pages set short-lived cookies that keep the sign-up or the password reset in progress, for at most an hour. VereTel staff who use the site’s internal pages sign in through Cloudflare, which sets its own sign-in cookie.
- The website tag. The free test tag in a VereTel account stores nothing in a visitor’s browser and sets no cookie. What the tag sends is in our privacy policy.
Your choices
You can block or delete cookies, session storage and local storage in your browser settings. The site works without them, apart from sign-in. See our privacy policy for more.
