Every call, logged in your own desk

Each call to a tracking number becomes a record in your VereTel desk. Your team can see who called, which source they came from and whether anyone picked up, including the calls nobody answered.

What each call record shows

  • Started: the date and time, shown in your time zone;
  • Caller: the number the call came from;
  • Tracking number: the number that was dialed, with its label, such as “Facebook · Promo”;
  • Status: answered, missed, ringing while a call is in progress, or not reported;
  • Duration: how long the call lasted.

Opening a call shows its start and end times and each leg of the call, the inbound leg and the forwarded leg, with when each was picked up and how it ended.

Finding the calls you need

The call list shows the newest calls first, fifty to a page. Filter it by a date range, and by outcome to see only answered or only missed calls. During a busy week, “missed, today” is the list your team should work first.

Missed calls are leads too

A caller who hung up before anyone answered still had a reason to call. Because every tracked call is logged whether or not it was answered, the missed-calls view doubles as a call-back list, with the caller’s number and the source they came from.

Before you have a number

A free account has no phone number, so it has no real calls. Its desk shows sample calls, labeled as samples, so you can see the layout. Real calls appear from the first call to a number you have bought. Numbers are not on sale yet. Create a free account and ask to be told when they are.

In a new account the list shows your most recent calls; the date and outcome filters and each call’s own page come with numbers.

Honest statuses

Whether a call was answered comes from the carrier’s report on the forwarded leg. When the carrier does not report it, the desk says “not reported” rather than guessing.

Your own sign-in

Each customer has its own desk and its own sign-in. You sign in with an email address and the password you chose, and you can sign out of every device at once. Each customer’s calls are kept apart at the database level, so another customer’s desk does not show your calls. See how customers’ data is kept separate.

Coming to the desk

Reports, call recording and transcription are on the way. We will describe each here once it ships. Coming

Common questions

Can my whole team use the desk?

Not yet. An account has one sign-in today, and adding teammates is coming.

Does the desk show calls to my regular office number?

No. The desk shows calls to your VereTel tracking numbers. Calls dialed straight to your office number are not tracked.

Can I export my calls?

Not yet. If you need call data for a report or an audit, contact us.
