Call tracking use cases for insurance agencies
A tracking number does the same thing everywhere: it tells you where a call came from. What changes is how you place it. These pages cover the channels and situations agencies ask us about, including what each platform does and does not do on its own.

Use case · Google Ads
Google Ads
Google can show a phone number with your ads and report on calls itself. VereTel does something different: it gives each landing page or campaign its own number and logs every call in your desk. This page sets out which does what, and how to combine them without confusing your numbers.

Facebook and Instagram ads
Meta lets an ad open the phone dialer directly, and it also sends people to landing pages. VereTel numbers work in both, but Meta’s own call figures and your desk’s call log are separate counts. Here is how to set the numbers up and read the two side by side.

TikTok ads
TikTok has a call ad format and it also sends people to web pages. In both cases a VereTel number tells you whether the phone rang, but not which video or creative caused it. This page is upfront about that gap.

Use case · Offline
Offline and print ads
Offline ads have no click to follow. A caller has only the number in front of them, which makes the number the only reliable clue. Give each drop, station or placement its own, and the call list does the rest.

Open enrollment campaigns
Enrollment seasons compress a year of calls into a few weeks. This is the operations checklist that covers the run: before, during and after. It applies to ACA and Medicare alike; for industry background, see the pages linked at the end.

Common questions
Does VereTel report calls back into Google Ads, Meta or TikTok?
No. VereTel does not import conversions into any ad platform. You compare sources in your VereTel desk, where every call shows the tracking number and label it came in on. Ad platforms report their own numbers separately.
How many tracking numbers should I start with?
One per source you want to compare, not one per ad. Many agencies start with a number for search, one for social, one for mail or print, and add more as campaigns multiply.
Can one number be used in more than one place?
Yes, but the calls will be counted together. Share a number only across ads or pages you are happy to judge as a single source.
