Terms of service
Version 2026-10-03 · Last updated
These terms govern your use of veretel.com, of the VereTel sign-up and sign-in pages (on app.veretel.com) and of VereTel’s call tracking service. The service is provided by VereTel LLC, a Florida company (“VereTel”, “we”). If you use the service on behalf of a business, you confirm that you may bind that business to these terms, and you agree to them for that business (“you”). A signed order or agreement with us takes precedence over these terms where the two differ.
1. The service
VereTel provides tracking numbers that forward calls to lines you choose, a web desk that logs tracked calls, and a tag that shows tracking numbers on pages you register. A free account (section 3) has a desk with sample calls, a website test tag and a calculator, and has no VereTel phone number. We describe the service as it currently works on our features page, and say there what is not available yet. We may improve or change the service; we will not remove a core part of it during a paid period without notice.
2. Accounts
- You create your account yourself, online. You give an email address, choose a password, agree to these terms, pass a short human check and confirm the address from an email we send to it. We do not approve or review accounts beforehand, and no demo or call with us is needed. We record which version of these terms you agreed to.
- One email address can belong to only one account. If you manage several businesses, each needs its own email address and its own account.
- You are responsible for your account: for keeping your password confidential, for everything done through it and for anyone you give access to it. Whoever can read the inbox of the address on an account can reset its password, so use an address that only the right people can read. Tell us promptly at info@veretel.com if you think someone else has got into your account or when someone should lose access.
- Give us accurate information, and keep it up to date.
3. Free accounts
A free account costs nothing and asks for no card. It has no VereTel phone number, so it has no real calls: its desk shows sample calls, labeled as samples, and its test tag sends nothing for the visitors to your website unless the visit is your own test visit. It is a free account, not a free trial of the calling service: nothing in it reaches the telephone network. You pay only when you choose a plan and a number. Paid plans and numbers are available only from the time we put them on sale; until then nothing is charged.
4. Tracking numbers
Tracking numbers are held on VereTel’s carrier account and are provided for your use while your plan is paid for. Self-serve numbers are local numbers in an area code you choose, where the carrier has one available. Toll-free numbers can be requested on Starter, Growth and Scale and are agreed with us separately. Moving (porting) numbers into or out of VereTel is not currently offered. A number is released as set out in sections 6 and 7, and after it is released you cannot count on getting it back.
5. Fees, subscriptions and automatic renewal
- A paid plan is a subscription. It renews automatically every month, at the price then in effect, until you cancel. Monthly plans have no minimum term.
- Before you pay, we show you the plan, its price, when it renews and how to cancel. You pay by card, monthly in advance, at the price shown then. Today’s prices are on our pricing page: Solo $19.99, Starter $79, Growth $199, Scale $399 a month.
- Forwarded minutes beyond your plan’s monthly pool are billed at $0.06 per minute, up to the monthly ceiling in section 8. On Starter, Growth and Scale an extra number is $5 per number per month. A minute is one started minute of a forwarded call, counted on the inbound leg.
- Prices are in US dollars and exclude taxes and regulatory fees, which are added where they apply.
- We may change prices for future periods with at least 30 days’ notice; if you do not accept a change, you can cancel before it takes effect. Founding-customer pricing is honored for the period stated in its offer. Annual prepay is available on request, is agreed in your order and keeps its price for the prepaid year.
6. Cancellation
- You can cancel a paid plan online, in your account, at any time. The cancellation takes effect at the end of the month you have paid for, and you keep the service until then. Your number stays with you for 7 days after that, and is then released.
- Fees already paid, including for part of a month, are not refunded except where the law requires it. If we cannot set up your number after you have paid, we refund that first payment.
7. Non-payment, suspension and release
If a payment fails, our payment provider tries again on its own schedule. If the final attempt fails, we suspend forwarding on your numbers and email you. After 14 days we release your numbers.
8. Limits we apply
- A new account can hold up to 3 numbers during its first 30 days; an order for more is held for review. After that, the full count of its plan applies.
- Each plan has a monthly ceiling of 3 times the forwarded minutes it includes. At the ceiling we can suspend forwarding: at once on an account that is less than 30 days old, and on an older account after we have told you. The ceiling protects your account from a runaway bill; it also limits what a misused number can cost.
- Each plan also has a daily limit on forwarded minutes. At the daily limit we pause forwarding until the next day.
- We may hold an order for review, for example when the details of a payment look unusual or an account reaches a limit.
9. Your responsibilities
- Use the service in line with our acceptable use policy and all laws that apply to you, including advertising, telemarketing and consumer protection laws and any rules for marketing in your industry (for example, insurance marketing rules).
- Make sure your advertising, and the way you contact people who call you, is lawful. VereTel forwards and logs calls; it does not make marketing calls for you.
- Give us accurate information about where calls should be forwarded, and forward calls only to lines you control or are allowed to use.
- If you put the VereTel tag on your website, you decide to use it. Tell your visitors what it does in your own privacy policy, and give them any notice or choice the law requires. Our privacy policy says what the tag sends.
10. Your data
Call details processed for your business belong to your business. We use them to provide, secure and bill for the service, and as described in our privacy policy. We do not sell them or share them with other customers.
11. Availability
We work to keep the service running and monitor it continuously, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. The service depends on telephone carriers and internet providers that we do not control.
12. Disclaimers
Except as expressly stated in these terms, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the extent the law allows.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, VereTel is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or business, and VereTel’s total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the three months before the event that gave rise to the claim.
14. Indemnity
You will defend and indemnify VereTel against third-party claims arising from your advertising, your use of the service in breach of these terms or the law, or the way you contact people who call you.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end the service, or a number, if you breach these terms or the acceptable use policy, if fees are unpaid (section 7), or if the law or our carrier requires it. Where we can, we will give notice first. We may act without notice where we reasonably believe a number is being used for scams, fraud or harassment, as our acceptable use policy says.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes take effect 30 days after we notify you; continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
