What you can measure today
Every call in your desk carries the label of the tracking number that was dialed. Set a date range, and the list shows each call from that period with its source and its outcome. For a weekly review, look at three things per source:
- how many calls came in;
- how many of those were answered, and how many were missed;
- how long the answered calls lasted, since a two-minute call and a twenty-minute sales call are not the same lead.
Working out cost per call
Cost per call is what you spent on a source divided by the calls it produced. If a campaign cost $1,200 in a month and its tracking number received 80 calls, each call cost $15. Compare that across sources, then go one step further and divide by answered calls or by the sales that followed. Our call tracking ROI calculator does the arithmetic, and the guide to measuring cost per call covers the method in depth.
What reports will add
Coming Reports will summarize your calls so you do not have to count them yourself. We will publish exactly what they include when they ship, and we do not give dates for features that are not finished.
